Ok, adapted from my former Mario section on my page, I have revised this to be better suited for Mariology here at TMKSD. Some basic info you need to know,the years reflect that of our own. The years selected are in fact based off that of the actual release dates. Furthermore, time goes slower in the Mushroom World, at least half the rate of our own. That in mind, you should realize that Mario is not exactly forty years old, as this would seem to indicate.

Unlike other timelines, this does not include the cartoons and comics. Mainly because, unlike some, Mario has a large library of games that already it is hard enough to use them all. The comics and cartoons would be insane. Furthermore, the movie is not included. Also, unlicensed Mario games, such as the ones of CD-i, are not even considered.

1955- (Pre-Yoshi's Island)
The Koopa Kingdom enters a civil war after the former koopa king dies. With only a baby child, many opt for a new leader to be chosen. To escape this, Kamek, the cheif Magikoopa, takes off with the young koopa prince, Bowser. Soon he decides to influence Bowser into a new order. The frog kingdom, the 8-bits and portions of goomba and koopa armies become interested and lend their support. Kamek centers the base around the obscure yoshi island, easily conquering it.

1961- (Yoshi's Island)
Mario and Luigi are 'born'. They are then delivered via the stork to the new parents. At the same time, Kamek has a vision. Foreseeing the two's defeat over Bowser, he rushes to kidnap the two babes. However, while kidnapping Luigi, Mario plummets below. There he lands on the back of a yoshi, who then proceeds to bring him to the other yoshis. They agree to form a chain to deliver the baby through yoshi island. They proceed to conquer all of the many fortresses and strongholds set up. Once arriving at the nearby island which Bowser is on, they proceed towards Bowser's Castle. Here is discovered baby Bowser and his nursemaid, Kamek. After a failed attempt to ward the yoshi and Mario off, Bowser gets angry and 'pummels' the magikoopa. After yoshi beats the yougn koopa up a bit, Kamek uses his magic to increase the size of the baby. However, using careful aiming and the trademark eggs of the yoshi clan, Bowser is defeated. Swearing revenge, Kamek grabs the koopa prince and vanishes. Luigi and the stork are found captured, and then are rescued. The stork then takes the two babies and delivers them to their parents.

1962- (After Yoshi's Island)
Kamek orders the babies be found and killed. Fearing for their children, the parents opt to find a safer place. Finding an obscure pipe leading to Earth, somewhere in Italy. The children our abandoned at the door of a family, while the real parents leave to the Mushroom World. The Mario family find the children, as well as their names from the hats on them.

1965- (Yoshi's Story)
Baby Bowser, wanting revenge on the yoshis, uses his newly developed magic powers to trap them in a storybook. The younger of the clan, however, manage to break the curse and defeat Bowser.

1979- (Pre- Super Mario Bros.)
The teenage Bowser turns on Kamek after finally becoming king of the Koopa Kingdom. He devises a plan a world domination. The Magikoopa sect seperate from the koopa kingdom, and the alliances with the 8-bits and frogs is destroyed. Special training begins of the common koopas, starting with Hammer Brothers.

1980- (None)
Mario and Luigi graduate from school, the two decide to look for oppurtunities in America and after much money saving, head to the states. They manage to get a job as construction workers in Brooklyn, New York, while going to college to become plumbers. During this time, Bowser begins to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom. With little defense, he proceeds to conquer many lands.

1981- (Donkey Kong)
Mario manages to get a girlfreind, Pauline. During the year, a strange ape is found in the jungle. As it is being brought to the local zoo, the ape manages to escape and go on rampage. It ends up in the nearby construction site Mario is working on. During Pauline's visit to him, she is snatched up by the crazy ape and carried to the top of the costruction. He sets off through the unsafe construction to rescue her. After chasing down the ape several times, he manages to rescue her. An alliance is established between Mushroom Kingdom, Sarasaland, Jewelry Land, The Plains Kingdom, Desert Land, Water Land, Giant World, Sky Kingdom, Iced Land and Pipe Maze Kingdom.

1982- (Donkey Kong 2, Wrecking Crew)
The zoo decides to take the ape back to the jungle where it can be put in a reserve. Mario is asked to accompany them. While the ape is caged, it calls on the help of it's son... Donkey Kong Jr. Mario attempts to ward off the monkey, but does so in vain. The two apes escape and Mario decides to head back to Brooklyn. Mario and Luigi finally become a full fledged plumbers and quit the construction business, hoping to make it big as plumbers. He takes on his final Construction Job at this point, which includes destroying an old building. For unknown reasons, his boss (Foreman Spike) attempts to kill the brothers with strange creatures. In the Mushroom Kingdom, the princess is captured as well as many important mushroom figures. Bowser then uses her magic to increase his magic, turning all the mushrooms into objects.

1982- (Mario Bros. Donkey Kong 3)
During a somewhat succesful year as plumbers, the two take a job in the sewers where they discover a strange green pipe. As they are looking in it, a sudden wind pulls the two inside. There they end up in a small room full of platforms with pipes around the area. Several strange monsters live in this area, which attack the two. After clearing the section of the monsters, they would proceed to use the now abandoned pipes to go to another area. This repeats several times over until they end up somewhere in the Mushroom World. During this time, Stanley, a old freind of the Mario Brothers, decides to chase Donkey Kong. The mission is mildly succesful, but he once more Donkey Kong evades him. As he returns home, Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. finally manage to find a way back home. In the Mushroom Kingdom, Bowser uses magic to change several of his most trusted troops into clones of himself. These then take off to key fortresses to mantain order.

1983- (Super Mario Bros. Easy Version, Super Mario Bros. DX)
Kinopio T. (or Toad as he preferred to be called), one of the remaining mushrooms, discovers the brothers and begs for their help. The two decided the princess would be the only one who might help them get home, so they accept. They take a long path through many of Bowser's strongholds to find her. As they go through, they redeem several areas by tearing down and clearing out the fortresses. During the quest, they find a yoshi egg which they take home. After taking on several clones, they defeat the real Bowser and rescue Peach. After receiving a kiss, they begin travel to the Mushroom Castle.
1983- (Super Mario Bros. Hard Version)
On the way back, Bowser comes back in a fury and steals the princess back. The two plumbers go back on the same path, now filled up with deadlier enemies and traps. Regardless, they conquer the area for good and rescue the princess. They return to the castle, where they are told of no known pipe leading to Earth. The two decide stay at the castle until they can return home.

1985- (Lost Levels Worlds 1-8)
As the yoshi egg hatches and is named, Bowser steals the princess another time, while really upping his security. He takes her to his best remaining stronghold in the Mushroom Kingdom area. The brothers go after him, overcoming his traps and even nastier enemies, until they rescue her. As they do, Bowser escapes the lava, grabs her again, and takes off to his very last stronghold.
1985- (Lost Levels Worlds 9-D)
The two hunt down Bowser through his last stronghold in the Mushroom Kingdom, defeating him for the fourth time. The plumbers and princess return to the Mushroom Castle, while Bowser is forced back into the Dark World. When they return home, Yoshi (the baby yoshi) has already dissapeared.

1986- (Pre-Super Mario Bros. 3)
Bowser builds up his forces in Dark Land. He gathers his seven children from afar and trains them for fighting. He then targets seven of the Great Kingdom Alliance for their magic wands.

1988- (Super Mario Bros. 2)
Mario and Luigi finally gain their own home, named the Pipe House. While asleep one night, he has a dream about a land of Subcon. The following day, he tells this to Luigi, Peach and Toad. Later that day, they wander to a cave. There they find a ladder leading to the land of Dreams, Subcon. They learn of Wart, a evil frog who is using the Dream Machine and his new allies, the 8-bits, to take over Subcon. The four embark together through the land of dreams to conquer him. After saving Subcon, Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad wake up in their own homes, and pass it off as a dream.

1989- (Dr. Mario, Pre-Super Mario Bros. 3)
The brothers seem to settle down in the new world, becoming more attached to it. A plague breaks out, and with no one able to understand it, Mario is asked to stop it. Using the test samples and several pills they had been using, he finally unlocks the antidote through experimenting. Thus, saving the kingdom and becoming much more famous. For this, he is rewarded a castle and his own area of land. Bowser conquers Grass Land, and proceeds to conquer the other lands.

1990- (Super Mario Bros. 3)
Peach urges the brothers to rescue Grass Land, for which they readily embark. They discover several new powers, to accompany the mushroom and fire flowers they had discovered before. Furthermore, they meet the first koopa kid and encounter the power of one of the wands. After they save Grass Land, they learn of other kingdoms conquered through Peach's letter. They continue through several more lands, as they rescue the last wand and king, they learn Bowser has kidnapped Peach during their troubles. They use Pipe Land's many pipes to find the way to the Dark Land. There they face the most powerful of Bowser's army, including tanks, battleships, airships and powerful troops. After they finally rescue Peach, Bowser begins scheming once more.

1991- (Super Mario Land)
Tatanga appears from space, planning on conquering the planet. He targets Sarasaland as his first area on the planet. Peach, a close friend of the leader there, Princess Daisy, urges Mario to investigate this. Upon arriving, it is discovered the alien has already captured her and defaced the country with mind controlled minions. After adventuring through the four kingdoms of Sarasaland, Mario finally arrives and defeats Tatanga. He rescues Daisy and returns home. However, while he was gone, a mysterious person Wario, seizes his castle. Bowser also chooses another target, Dino Land for it's powerful monsters. He manages to earn small support again from the Magikoopa sect, earning help from his old nursemaid and mentor, Kamek.

1992- (Super Mario World)
Mario tired from his adventure, returns home to find out Peach and Luigi were vacationing. He joins the two, who are vacationing at Dino Land. During their relaxation, Bowser is busy conquering Dino Land.When he discovers Peach is there, he decides to take advantage of the situation and kidnaps her with his new Clown Copter. Mario and Luigi at once take off to rescue her, meeting up with a strange dino. They recognize him immediately by the saddle, bearing the name 'Yoshi'. They learn that Bowser took over the island, forcing all the creatures on the island to join. When the yoshis refused to join him, they were combined in their own kind of eggs and their rookery was raided. Mario, Luigi and Yoshi take off together through Dino Land. After a long trip, they meet up with Bowser and save Peach. They return to Yoshi's House and watch the eggs hatch. While Bowser continues to scheme, they enjoy the remainder of the vacation.

1993- (Super Mario Kart, Super Mario Land 2)
Returning with Yoshi, the group decide to begin a racing tournament. Bowser, although a enemy, decides to relax as well and join in the race. Donkey Kong Jr. shows up, and also ends up in the race. Mario returns to his castle finally, but discovers Wario has taken over. He then sets off to take back his castle, after a long quest he is succesful. Wario leaves, looking for some other treasure to loot.

1994-200? (Donkey Kong Country 1-3, DK64, Wario Land 1-4)
DK Jr. returns to his own home, where he succeeds Donkey Kong Sr. (who changes his name to Cranky and retires). The kremlings, led by K. Rool steal his banana horde, planning to take over DK Isles. Donkey Kong (Jr) with his good buddy, Diddy manage to take it back and defeat him. This repeats, only with K. Rool seizing Donkey Kong. Diddy and his friend, a girl monkey named Dixie, likewise rescue the bananas and Donkey Kong. Relentless, K. Rool does this AGAIN by taking Donkey and Diddy. But Dixie, as well as her cousin, Kiddy, defeat him again. In another attempt, he manages to steal the bananas as well as all of DK's pals. He plans to destroy the island, but is finally defeated by DK and his freinds combined effort. Elsewhere, Wario continues his penny pinching in other lands. First targetting the pirate, Captain Syrup's treasure. She strikes back and steals all his gold, which he goes back to steal again. Similar circumstance continue afterwards.

1994- (Yoshi Safari, Mario is Missing)
Bowser's latest attempt is aimed at Jewely Land, for their powerful magic gems. As Peach requested, Mario and Yoshi pair up, armed with a bazooka, to hunt down the koopa kids who possess these jewels. After obtaining those, the duo proceed into Dark Land to obtain the other jewels. Fighting some, such as a Lakitu, a Chargin' Chuck, Kamek and eventually Bowser. As the two return home to meet Luigi, Bowser plans for a bit of revenge. He captures Mario through a huge hole and flees to... the Real World. Luigi and Yoshi chase him down there, ending up there as well... They discover Bowser has also taken all sorts of landmarks as well. Princess Daisy, wanting to help rescue her rescuer, also goes to Earth to provide Luigi with information she can gather. Eventually Bowser is sent back to Mushroom Kingdom, as well as Mario being rescued. Despite finding a way home finally, the brothers decide it is to risky to allow Bowser the chance to return. The way is sealed off, Mario and Luigi resign to finally settle down in the Mushroom World for good.

1995- (Super Mario RPG)
While Luigi and Yoshi are resting from their previous adventure, Bowser is up to his old tricks again. Once more kidnapping the princess and ready for another showdown. Mario arrives to face off, and begins beating the turtle in battle. But as the battle is heating up again, a sudden force sends the three flying in all directions. Mario is tossed high in the air, directly into the Pipe House. When he heads back to Bowser's Castle, he finds a huge sword sticking through it... and the bridge out. Mario then embarks on a quest to take the long route to the castle, all around the area. He meets up with Mallow first, who helps him in his quest. He then meets Geno, an actual star from Star Haven, sent to repair Star Road, which was destroyed by the sword, Exor. They continue on, Bowser joins the group in hope to regain his castle, as well as Peach. After a long journey, they finally defeat Exor, and it's creator, Smithy. Thus restoring Star Road, allowing wishes to be delivered. Something Bowser would not soon forget.

1996- (Mario Party 1-3, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis)
The year, being eventless, is spent playing golf and tennis. Which ultimately end up in being huge tournaments. Mario and his friends become good enough that they end up in huge tournaments. Even Bowser proves to be a good sportsman, when not being a sore loser. Also several large parties are hosted which result in Bowser's intervention. From this, several special sorts of stars are found and stored at Peach's Castle.

1997- (Paper Mario)
After being controlled by Smithy (SMRPG), Kamek resigns from his long career as cheif of the magikoopas. Kammy succeeds his place, on her first mission with Bowser. Which begins with Bowser using his new found knowledge of the Stars. Travelling past Star Road, he manages to obtain the Star Rod, which grants wishes. He makes himself invincible and captures the seven guardian star spirits. Meanwhile, Mario and Luigi come to visit Peach's party. Bowser using his new power, lifts the castle in the air. He then proceeds to pummel Mario and send him flying through the air. Somehow he recovers, and receives a plea of help from the seven star spirits. The task is given to him, so he embarks to find all of them and free them. During the trip he gains eight allies, which help him in a variety of ways. During the trip, he also develops several new fighting techniques as well. Ultimately he manages to beat Bowser by disably the Star Rod with the Star Spirit's help. A celebration ensues, while Bowser leaves one more to plot revenge.

1998- (Mario 64, Mario Kart 64)
While Yoshi and Luigi are off who knows where, Mario is off home alone again. Peach invites him over for a bt of cake. However, Bowser busts in and ruins that. When Mario arrives, the stars earned from the parties have all been stolen and the castle sealed by magic. Mario embarks through magic pictures through out the castle to recover the stars and break through the magic barries. Using the jumping skills he developed in his previous quests, as well as some new ones. In the end, he conquers Bowser and recovers all the stars. As a celebration, another go-kart tournament is hosted at the castle. Although defeated, even Bowser shows up.

2001 - (Luigi's Mansion)
Luigi is awarded a mansion for some strange reason, regardless he decides to visit. Mario mysteriously dissapears and Luigi discovers the mansion to be haunted. Armed only with a special vacuum from the strange Prof. E. Gadd, Luigi ventures to find Mario.
