Chapter 1 Twelve Thousand Coins
In a kingdom near the Mushroom Kingdom, there used to be a kind and gentle King Renard. King Renard made sure nobody in his kingdom was hungry, cold or homeless. It was because he cared for his people. It was also that it wasn’t that big of a kingdom so he wasn’t that busy. Until Wario and his brother Waluigi took over the castle and forced the people of the kingdom to run away and create another kingdom. All that the people did to make that kingdom what it was, was ruined by Wario, and his hatred toward Mario. And of course his greed.
At King Renard’s old kingdom at night, Wario and Waluigi are eating a poorly prepared dinner made by Waluigi. While they were eating in silence, a flash of light shined through the castle window. Then the light stopped shining.
“What was that?” asked Waluigi as he stood up.
“Just wait here, I’ll go look at it.” said Wario. Wario put down his silverware and walked out the backdoor of the castle. There was a small alien there waiting with his spaceship behind him. The alien was small, purple, with big bulgy eyes and tentacles for walking and grabbing. He was a little bigger than Toad.
“I thought I told you to come when Waluigi isn’t here.” said Wario to the alien.
“I have brought information concerning the deal that we will make when you collect enough money.” said the alien. He had no voice at all, no statement just the same pitch voice.
“Good job Gungle, let’s hear it.” said Wario .
“When you collect the needed amount of coins, we will give you the deed to the asteroid and a gun for transporting people there.” said Gungle.
“A gun?” asked Wario.
“You are correct, if you want to send yourself or someone else, you must shoot them with the gun, let me remind you that it is very rare for someone to escape the asteroid without the gun.” said Gungle.
“I know, that’s why I want it.” said Wario .
“Another detail that I failed to tell you is that the asteroid and gun will now cost twelve thousand dollars.” said Gungle.
“Wait a minute, I thought it was ten thousand!” shouted Wario. Waluigi heard Wario screaming so he looked out the back window without Wario or Gungle noticing.
“If you do not wish to purchase this asteroid then I will take my business elsewhere.” said Gungle.
“No, no, no, I’ll buy it.” said Wario.
“You must have the twelve thousand coins by three days or I will sell the asteroid to someone else.” said Gungle.
“No problem, I can handle it.” said Wario.
“You can contact me with this device, you must press the orange button to do so.” said Gungle as he handed a small box with an orange button on it to Wario.
“What happens when I press it?” asked Wario.
“It will give me a message and I will come back from space as soon as possible.” said Gungle.
“Okay, thank you, I think I’ll be able to get the money by tomorrow.” said Wario.
“Just so long as you collect the money by three days I do not care.” said Gungle as he went into his spaceship. The spaceship took off and disappeared into the stars.
Waluigi saw Wario walking back to the castle door and Waluigi jumped into the air and landed in his seat. He did not want Wario to know that he overheard.
“What was it?” asked Waluigi pretending he didn’t hear.
“It was nothing, I just saw some weird little creature running around so I caught it and threw it so it won’t bother us again.” lied Wario. Waluigi knew that no one was supposed to know about the deal Wario made with the alien. They continued to eat in silence.
The next day Waluigi woke up to Wario patting his face.
“What?” asked Waluigi.
“Listen Waluigi, we need some coins and fast, we are running out.” said Wario.
“Right now?” asked Waluigi.
“Yes.” said Wario.
“Okay.” said Waluigi as he got out of bed.
Wario and Waluigi walked to the nearest kingdom besides the Mushroom Kingdom, the Colby Kingdom led by a human named King Colby. Wario and Waluigi brought fire flowers with them. They were a few feet away from the front door to the castle.
“How do we get in, do we have to battle the guards?” asked Waluigi. Then Waluigi noticed Wario swinging a rope with a graveling hook on it. Wario threw the graveling hook and it wrapped around the top of the castle.
“You climb after me.” said Wario. Wario started climbing the rope and Waluigi followed. Soon they were on the top of the castle.
“How do we get in now?” asked Waluigi.
“There’s a glass picture of the king right here, we just break the glass and jump in.” said Wario.
“Doesn’t it seem dangerous?” asked Waluigi.
“Yeah, you’re right, and I don’t wanna get hurt.” said Wario as he started thinking of a way to not get hurt. His eyes lit up like he got an idea.
“Did you think of something?” asked Waluigi.
“Sure did.” said Wario as he threw Waluigi through the glass. Waluigi screamed as he fell. He fell right in the middle of an important speech being made by King Colby. Waluigi hit the ground and let out a groan of pain. Everyone in the room stared at him. Wario fell down on top of Waluigi. Waluigi screamed at the pain. Wario took two steps off of Waluigi and took out a fire flower and sprayed a little fire in the air.
“Listen here, I want to know where you keep your coins, this is a robbery!” shouted Wario as he aimed the flower at King Colby.
“Who are you?” asked King Colby. King Colby was a very plump man with curly hair. He wore thick purple clothes and a sparkling golden crown.
“I’m the man who burns off your face unless you give me all the money!” shouted Wario.
“This way.” said King Colby.
Waluigi was about to get off the ground until King Colby walked over him. Being a heavy king, Waluigi screamed again. Then Wario walked over Waluigi too. Being a heavy man Waluigi let out another scream. Then Waluigi got up and ran to catch up with Wario and King Colby. King Colby opened a door to a room and inside were huge stacks of gold coins.
“Take what you need, just don’t kill me.” said King Colby. Wario took out four bags.
“Waluigi, stuff it to the brim.” said Wario. Wario and Waluigi started stuffing the gold coins into the bags until the bags could hold no more.
“Let’s go.” said Wario. Wario and Waluigi walked back to their castle and put the coins in their coin room. Waluigi noticed that there was plenty of gold in the room and they didn’t need to steal more. He knew that Wario needed the gold to buy the asteroid.
“Why don’t you go and play or something.” said Wario to Waluigi. Waluigi left and saw Wario carefully counting every coin. Waluigi knew that Wario was planning something big and was not going to have Waluigi as his partner. Waluigi went into his room to start thinking of what it could be.
Chapter 2 The Rampage
The next day when Waluigi was sleeping, Wario pressed the button to contact Gungle. In a matter of minutes Gungle was there.
“Did you collect the needed amount of coins?” asked Gungle.
“Yes, come with me.” said Wario. Gungle followed Wario to the coin room.
“I have changed the price of the asteroid, it now costs every single coin in this room.” said Gungle when he saw how rich Wario was.
“No, you said twelve thousand!” shouted Wario.
“I have changed my mind, if you do not wish to purchase my asteroid any longer I will take my business elsewhere.” said Gungle.
“Alright, alright, I’ll give you everything, but first I want to make sure that gun works.” said Wario.
“Allow me to demonstrate.” said Gungle as he shot Wario. Wario disappeared and reappeared on an asteroid. The air was breathable but it was very cold and dark. Gungle shot himself and appeared on the asteroid.
“Are you satisfied with your new piece of land?” asked Gungle.
“Yes, now bring me back, I’m cold, that will be perfect.” said Wario. Gungle shot Wario and then himself. They appeared back in the coin room.
“I will take the coins and you take the gun.” said Gungle as he handed to gun to Wario. Wario shot Gungle. Gungle appeared on the asteroid with no way off without his money. Wario started laughing.
When Waluigi woke up he went to the kitchen to make himself breakfast. He saw Wario with a bulge of a gun in his pocket.
“Why do you have a gun?” asked Waluigi who didn’t know it was part of the asteroid deal.
“It’s in case that pesky creature comes back, you know, the one that made the flash.” said Wario.
“Oh.” said Waluigi who now knew it was part of the asteroid deal.
“I think I’m gonna go take a walk.” said Waluigi.
“Go ahead.” said Wario. Waluigi left the castle. Waluigi decided to go to the Koopa Kingdom so he could talk to Bowser about it and maybe be able to defeat Wario if he turned against him. Waluigi started running. He went around the Mushroom Kingdom to avoid Mario and Luigi. Then he came to the Koopa Kingdom. The Hammerhead brother guards opened the doors for him and Waluigi entered. A bridge came over all the traps and lava pits, so wanted guests could easily get in. Waluigi walked across the bridge into Bowser’s room.
“Where is your brother?” asked Bowser as he saw Waluigi enter.
“I am afraid he may be planning something without me, and if he doesn’t want me to know about it, that probably means that it will be something against me and against everybody!” shouted Waluigi.
“How do you know?” asked Bowser.
“Because I saw him making a deal with an alien, he bought a whole asteroid.” said Waluigi.
“I’ll go talk to him, see if it is against me, whatever he’s planning. If you think that you are in danger than you can stay here until I return.” said Bowser.
“Thank you.” said Waluigi. Bowser walked to Wario’s castle. He also went around the Mushroom Kingdom. Then he knocked on the door of Wario’s castle. Wario opened the door.
“What do you want Bowser?” asked Wario.
“I want to know what you are doing with an asteroid.” said Bowser.
“How’d you know about that?” asked Wario.
“Waluigi told me, and he said you had been lying to him so he knew it was big, whatever you were doing.” said Bowser.
“This is what I am doing Bowser, I did buy an asteroid, and I am going to teleport everyone in the world onto this asteroid, and then I will have the world as my playground.” said Wario.
“Will the asteroid hold everyone on it?” asked Bowser.
“No, but that’s okay if people are pushed off, what do I care!” shouted Wario. Then he started laughing wildly.
“So you are going to do this to everybody?” asked Bowser thinking that he was going to fight with Wario.
“Yup, even you.” said Wario as he pulled out the pistol and shot Bowser. Bowser disappeared and reappeared on the asteroid.
“Now for Waluigi.” said Wario as he walked out of the castle. Wario walked right through the Mushroom Kingdom, not afraid of Mario or Luigi bothering him. Many mushroom people scurried off when they saw Wario. Unfortunately for Wario, he didn’t get around to shooting anyone. He went into the Koopa Kingdom and shot the two Hammerhead brother guards and they reappeared at the asteroid. Wario searched the castle for Waluigi. He found Waluigi in Bowser’s room.
“So Waluigi, you decided to send Bowser to me to find out what I was up tp huh?” asked Wario as he pointed the gun at Waluigi.
“What does that gun do and why did you buy that asteroid from that alien!” shouted Waluigi. Wario shot Waluigi. Waluigi reappeared on the asteroid.
“Now for Mario.” said Wario to himself. Wario walked back into the Mushroom Kingdom and walked to Princess Toadstool’s castle. When the two mushroom guards saw Wario they ran away. Wario threw open the doors and walked into the castle. Toad saw him and his eyes grew big.
“Wario’s in the castle, Wario’s in the castle!” shouted Toad as he ran away. Wario shot Toad. Toad reappeared on the asteroid. Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi came out of a room.
“Well, Mario, it looks like you are not gonna win this battle.” said Wario.
“What do you mean, I win every battle with you Wario.” said Mario.
“Well now I have a gun!” shouted Wario as he pointed the gun at Mario.
“You’re not a killer, sometimes you threaten, but you are nothing but words.” said Mario.
“You’re right, I’m not a killer, but I am gonna shoot all three of ya!” shouted Wario as he shot Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi. They all reappeared on the asteroid. Wario started laughing wildly.
“Now for everyone else!” shouted Wario. Wario continued through the castle and shot everyone he saw. Then he got out of the castle, and started to walk around, shooting everyone he saw. The population in the Mushroom, Koopa, and Colby Kingdoms was decreasing.
Chapter 3 Wario’s Asteroid
When Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi reappeared on the asteroid, Bowser shouted, “Mario, what are you doing here!”
“The same as you.” said Mario. Bowser ran at Mario. Yoshi and Luigi ran next to Mario to show Bowser that they were going to help Mario. So did Toad.
“Waluigi, help me!” shouted Bowser.
“No Bowser, I am not going to fight them, right now they are not the enemies.” said Waluigi.
“That’s right Bowser, right now Wario is the enemy.” said Mario.
“But how did he get us up here?” asked Luigi.
“He shot us with a special gun.” said Bowser.
“Is this his asteroid, and if it is then how did he get it and how did he get that weird gun?” asked Mario.
“He bought it from an alien.” said Waluigi.
“I am the alien that Wario bought this asteroid from.” said Gungle as he walked toward them.
“So if it was your asteroid, will you know how to get us off?” asked Toad right as more people reappeared on the asteroid.
“I believe there is only one way and that would be terribly dangerous.” said Gungle. Bowser grabbed Gungle by the throat and picked him up.
“So it’s your fault that we’re all on this asteroid!” shouted Bowser. Gungle took out a gun and shot Bowser. Bowser was electrocuted. Bowser let go of Gungle. While this was happening, more and more people were reappearing on the asteroid and asking each other what was going on.
“Well even if it is dangerous, we should still try it.” said Mario.
“If it doesn’t work, then the result is death.” said Gungle.
“That is a risk we will have to be willing to take.” said Luigi.
“Then I will get started.” said Gungle. After a long while, Gungle had finished making a giant tube out of rocks that he melted with his gun.
“What is that?” asked Toad.
“Whoever wants to return, will have to go in it and they will be launched back, now all I need is to soak it in this slime.” said Gungle as he opened up a part of his gun and green glowing slime was poured on the tube, making the tube green and glowing. At this time, the asteroid was filled to the brim with people.
“Well, whoever goes back is gonna need to have some guts, they will have to get Wario’s gun back and they will probably have to fight Wario.” said Mario.
“By now the world is probably deserted and wrecked. It will take very long to find Wario.” said Gungle.
“That’s okay, we can use Mairo’s old time machine to go back in time and stop Wario before he does all this.” said Toad (Mario’s time machine was a very old Mario game in case you didn’t know).
“I thought it was broken.” said Mairo.
“I fixed it.” said Toad.
“Wait a minute, why can only one person go back?” asked Waluigi.
“Because if the person gets back to the world, then the tube will never work again and we will have to make a new one, and that is impossible right now because we already used all of the green slime, so this is it.” said Gungle.
“So who’s gonna go?” asked Bowser. Everyone started talking about how they would go and why.
“Wait everyone be quiet, how does this thing work?” asked Mario.
“You just go inside and you will be launched.” answered Gungle.
“I don’t care what anybody says, I’m going!” shouted a king about as tall as Gungle. He jumped into the tube and was launched into space. They all watched closely and saw him explode in the middle of the world and the asteroid.
“He was too heavy for the machine to work.” said Gungle.
“That idiot, now no one can go back!” shouted Luigi.
“That is not true, the power of the machine has not died down, it will only die down if it pushes someone all the way to the world. He did not make it so we can try again.”
“But what if somebody dies again?” asked Bowser.
“That will not happen, just so long as someone who knows that king well comes and talks to me.” said Gungle.
“I know him.” said a man.
“What do you know about him?” asked Gungle.
“Everything.” said the man.
“How much did he weigh?” asked Gungle.
“90 pounds.” said the man.
“Perfect, I found out by how far he flew that he need to be 20 pounds lighter, I know this because I am a genius, so in other words, who here is 70 pounds?” asked Gungle. Most of the mushroom men raised their hands.
“Who would be willing to go back and get Wario’s gun and fight Wario?” asked Gungle. All the hands went down except one. It was Toad.
“You, small man, you must go back and get Wario’s gun.” said Gungle.
“No problem.” said Toad.
“Are you sure you can do it Toad?” asked Mario.
“Yes, I’ll even go back in time and warn you guys that Wario is coming so you will help me.” said Toad.
“Good thinking.” said Luigi.
“Go in peace young mushroom.” said Gungle.
“Here I go!” shouted Toad as he jumped into the tube. Toad was launched all the way back to the world. He hit the ground and bounced twice. He looked around. There wasn’t a creature in sight. He saw Princess Toadstool’s castle. He started walking toward it. When he got there he went in and walked to the balcony of the castle. He looked out at everything to see what Wario did. He saw nothing but castles that had no one in them, and miles of empty land.
“Wario’s greed is a powerful thing.” said Toad to himself. Then he went to the basement of the castle. He found Mario’s time machine. He pressed some buttons and went back in time.
Chapter 4 Toad vs Wario
Toad found himself still in the basement of the castle. He ran upstairs and saw many people walking around.
“Mario, Luigi!” shouted Toad as he ran toward them.
“They are outside, Toad.” said Princess Toadstool who heard Toad. Toad ran outside. He saw Mario and Luigi playing tennis.
“Mario, Luigi!” shouted Toad.
“Hang on Toad, we are playing tennis.” said Mario.
“It’s more important than tennis!” shouted Toad. Luigi caught the ball when it came to him.
“What is it ,Toad, and this better be good.” said Mario.
“We have to stop Wario!” shouted Toad.
“Why, what is he doing?” asked Mario.
“He is going to teleport everyone to an asteroid using a special gun that he bought from and alien named Gungle, and he’s gonna do it until the whole world is whipped out of people!” shouted Toad.
“Never bother us with lies again!” shouted Mario. Luigi served the ball to Mario and Mario hit it back.
“I’m not lying!” shouted Toad.
“Go tell someone else,” said Luigi while hitting the ball back at Mario. Toad walked away very angry.
“If they don’t listen to me no one will, I’ll have to do this on my own.” thought Toad to himself. Toad walked to Wario’s castle. He slowly opened the doors and entered without being seen by Wario or Waluigi. He searched every room for Wario and Waluigi to see if they were there. He saw Waluigi sleeping in his room. But he couldn’t find Wario. Then he looked in the coin room.
“No, you said twelve thousand!” shouted Wario.
“I have changed my mind, if you do not wish to purchase my asteroid any longer I will take my business elsewhere.” said Gungle. Toad waited and watched. He saw everything. Even when Wario shot Gungle and started laughing wildly.
“No!” shouted Toad as he ran toward Wario. Wario shot at Toad. Toad threw a bag of coins in the way. The bag of coins disappeared and reappeared on the asteroid. Toad threw a coin and hit Wario in the head.
“Ow!” Wario shouted as he dropped his gun and grabbed his forehead. Toad ran toward the gun. Wario kicked him across the room before he could grab it. Then Wario shot at Toad again. He hit a pile of coins and they reappeared on the asteroid. Tod threw another coin at Wario’s gun and knocked it out of his hand.
“Stupid mushroom!” shouted Wario as he ran at Toad without picking up the gun. Wario kicked Toad in the face when he got up to him. Toad went flying and hit the wall. Wario took his gun and shot at Toad. Toad dodged the laser and ran into the hall.
Wario ran into the hall after Toad. Without Wario knowing, Toad was pressed against the wall by the doorway. After running away, he stopped and looked behind him. He saw Toad roll through his opened legs. Toad jumped and held on to Wario’s throat from the back. Wario grabbed Toad and threw him as far as he could. Toad screamed as he flew all the way down the hall. Toad hit the wall at the end of the hall.
There was a small table near where he landed. Toad picked up the table and ran at Wario. Wario shot at him but couldn’t shoot a moving target well. Toad threw the table and hit Wario in the face. The table broke when it hit him. Toad took a piece of wood from the broken pieces of the table and started hitting Wario in the face with it repeatedly. Wario was unconscious. Toad took the gun, and shot himself. He appeared on the asteroid with Gungle.
“Who are you?” asked Gungle when he saw Toad. Without speaking Toad shot Gungle and himself and they reappeared back in the coin room. Toad put the barrel of the gun in Gungle’s face.
“Go home and never ever return to this world again!” shouted Toad. Without speaking Gungle got in his spaceship and drove away.
Toad walked back the Mushroom Kingdom with the gun still in his hand. Then he stopped walking because he remembered something. Since Wario never got the gun, no one he knew was transported to the asteroid anymore and he would get no credit from his heroism from anyone. Even if he did show them the gun and demonstrated they still wouldn’t know that they were transported to that asteroid and that Toad saved them. He was not a hero. At least no one knew he was.
Toad walked right through the Mushroom Kingdom to the edge of the Koopa Kingdom. There was a small pond of lava on the border. Toad dropped the gun in the lava. The lava bubbled and there was a small green explosion under neath the lava. Toad had prevented anyone or anything from his world, to ever go back on the asteroid. He just saved many kingdoms, but no one would ever know. Toad didn’t care.
He walked back the Mushroom Kingdom. He walked to his room to take a nap after such a big adventure. He opened the door to his room and there was the past Toad (the one who never was on the asteroid) folding laundry. They saw each other and screamed. The past Toad fainted. The hero Toad walked out of his room stunned. He walked out of the Mushroom Kingdom and sat on a hill.
He started thinking about what he was going to do. Then he thought of an idea. He went to all his friend at the Mushroom Kingdom and told them goodbye. They did not know what he was talking about.
Then Toad went to Mario’s time machine. He was going to travel through different parts of time for the rest of his life and let the past Toad live his normal life. He knew he would come back to visit his friends at the Mushroom Kingdom, but not very often. Toad went into the time machine and started his adventure through time.
