Welcome to the Mariology section of The Mushroom Kingdom Squad's Domain. This section of the site focuses on well thought out theories on how the Mushroom World works. Any theories that you, our visitors, may have can be submitted here after you take a look at the rules outlined at the bottom of the page.

In case you've never noticed, the Mushroom Kingdom is a confusing place. How can Mario jump six times his own height? How does a Yoshi work? Where are all the lands of the Mushroom Kingdom located in relation to each other? The list of questions goes on and on. There are a select few Mario cult fans who can be considered "Mariologists." These are the elite who, through looking at information from all of the Mario games, actual basis of thought in the real world, and connecting pieces of evidence from every available resource form theories that attempt to answer the many questions posed to the Mushroom World. Warp Pipes

The Way Things Work: Pipes	Vorpal	A Lecture outlining the history of Warp Pipes and a possibly explanation for their function.
Pipe Dreams	Masamune	Another pipe lecture; however, this one does not focus on history, but rather on the Warp Pipes' abilities and why they work the way they do.
The Study of Pipe Land	Toadyking	This one expands on some of the points made in the above theories, and adds some of its own. Nicely done.
Warp Pipes	GibsonMatt	Another theory on the way warp pipes work; perhaps more complex than the rest. Either a lot of thought was put into it, or the fancy words make it seem like a lot of time was put into it. ;) A nice job altogether.

Power-Ups

Mariology Report: Fire Flowers	Luigi of the Pipes	A very nice explanation of Fire Flowers, how/why they work, and the effects they have on genetics.
The Force of the Starmen	Raptar	In another numbered theory... (grr) Raptar presents 5 points about Starmen and how they work in PM and as power-ups.
Seeing Stars	Masamune	Another theory on the Starmen, this talks about the different forms, and plausible reasons for the effects they have on Mario and Luigi.
The Source of Power	Elana	Stars are discussed again, this time by Elana. An interesting theory with different opinions than the other star theories...
Fire Flowers and How They Work	Boo	Another theory about the function of fire flowers and a few other things.

Yoshi

Yoshi's Advanced Mind	YoshiMan90	A brief lecture about the intelligence of the yoshis.
Everything you ever wanted to know about Yoshi... but were afraid to ask	Ditto McCloaker	3rd time's a charm, as they say. I think they're right. If you want to read about Yoshi, this theory right here is your best bet, by far.
Why Yoshi is NOT an Amphibian	Raptar	Arguing with Ditto's theory, which says that Yoshi is a type of dinosaur that evolved from the amphibian sect of the animal kingdom.
Yoshi Biology	Raptar	Another explanation of Yoshis. In this, Raptar disproves most of the things in the other explanation, and gives his own ratifications. This is in numbered format, too.
Yoshi's Powers	GibsonMatt	A theory that focuses on how Yoshi gets his powers when he eats turtle shells, among other things.
Yet Another Yoshi Theory	Lzn64	Several different aspects of Yoshi are examined here, most of which is not covered in other theories, anyway.

Koopa Species	B.W.M.	A very long list of many different types of enemies, detailing their traits and facts. Although it leaves out quite a lot (Plantlife, Biolife, etc) it does cover quite a bit, anyway.
The Mystery of the Koopalings	Raptar	Some stuff about Bowser's Kids.
Goombology: The Study of Goombas	Raptar	In this (numbered... again) theory on Goombas, Raptar explains the species and its abilities.
Wario and Waluigi: The Unsolved Mysteries	Luigi of the Pipes	A really well done theory on the origin of Wario and Waluigi, and the relationship they have to each other. Also good on their personalities... and some interesting faces from the past. And boy do I mean past.
The Koopa Kids	Kirby of Popstar	Not exactly sure, just seems to state things we already know. Oh, well. Added Part 2.
The Koopa Kulture	Raptar	This is probably Raptar's best theory to date... it's his theory about how the Koopa "Kulture" (as Bowser would spell it) works... commenting on things like individual species, and it even goes into a class system of sorts.
Are They Really Humans?	BWM	A theory about the actual species of the official humans of the Mario Universe.
The Daily Life of a Toad	Boo	A look at how the Mushroom People live their lives.

The "Mario" Brothers	Salo Azonem	This theory, written from a "Luigist" point of view, explains his reasoning on why the Mario Brothers are called the "Mario" brothers.
MK Timeline	Masamune	An adaptation on a section previously found in the Mario area of his site, Masamune's Mushroom Kingdom Timeline is a very informational look into the history of the heroes.
The Mushroom Kingdom's Fundamental Basis	GibsonMatt	A theory about several popular points of Mariology, mostly on its relation to the earth, but it also briefly touches upon other points including warp pipes and Mario's jumping abilities.
Where Everyone's Names Come From	Kirby of Popstar	This is only half Mariology, but it is a rather neat list of where people's names come from. I also have this in the Misc. Section (where it rightfully belongs.)
