Are They Really Humans?

By B.W.M.

This Mariology is whether Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Wario, Waluigi, and Captain Syrup are actually humans or not. First, let's look at Peach and Daisy. Peach, as we all know, is the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. Some people think she is a human, but there are some facts that can prove this wrong. First, she's a princess of a kingdom full of highly evolved mushrooms, and her last name is Toadstool. Since Mushroom people do have hair and their caps are actually hats, it's most likely that Princess Toadstool was either a human orphan from planet Earth that has found its way to a warp pipe that led to the Mushroom Kingdom, and was found and adopted by the royal Toadstool family, or is simply a mushroom person born into the Toadstool family, just more highly evolved. I prefer the latter on this one. As for Princess Daisy, she might have a similar story to Peach's, the only difference is that if she was an orphan, she found a warp pipe that led to Sarasaland, or if she was born into the royal family, she might be of the same race, a similar, blood-related race, or a completely different race. I also go on the latter on this one. Let's move on to Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi.

Some people think the Mario Bros. and the Wario Bros. are humans because they have Italian accents and are from Brooklyn. Sorry, folks, that is not the case. As you can see at the end of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, and in some Nintendo comics, Mario and Luigi were (This is from the end sequence of Yoshi's Island) carried by a stork to a mushroom village in the Mushroom Kingdom, not being born from the womb of a pregnant woman at the Brooklyn Hospital. Also (This is from the comics), Wario and Waluigi grew up in the mushroom village with Mario and Luigi, who bullied the two. Even though Waluigi being bullied by Luigi isn't evident, it might as well be true, because Wario being bullied by Mario is. Another fact that can disprove them to be humans would be the ability to absorb certain characteristics, like throwing fireballs after using lots of fire flowers. The Warios also might not be human, because they have exaggerated human features, pointy ears, blue sacs around their eyes, and having certain powers, like, as we can see with Wario from the Wario Land series, being invulnerable to death from fire, from being squished flat, from being split in half, and from many other things, along with the power to strengthen an attack with a considerably powerful energy "fire wave" that differs from regular fire. In Mario Tennis, Waluigi's eyes glow whenever he scores a point, signifying an unknown power. Let's go on to Captain Syrup.

Now some people think that Captain Syrup is just a human pirate that has found her way to the Mushroom World, but through careful observation, I have gathered enough evidence that Captain Syrup is not a human at all. First, let's look at the main symbol of the Black Sugar Gang: A four-horned skull with its upper fangs sticking out. Some just think it's a symbol, but in Wario Land 3, inside the tiny music box, the treasure chests bear a marking almost exactly alike that of the Black Sugar Gang's. The only difference is that there's no lower jaw. Also, in the Stagnant Swamp, there is a ghost pirate. This might signify that if Syrup originated in the music box as a child when the giant evil clown Rudy invaded, and then escaped, it means she is not a human, unless those people in the music box were humans. This is all I wanted to say on this Mariology.(Note: The Black Sugar Gang used to be called the Brown Sugar Gang)
