All the fire flowers in Mario World have been giant yellow daisy like flowers. My theory is that the Fire flowers have been for many centuries a very endangered species of flowers closly related to the modern day dandilion. The flower was used by Mario in one aspect as a poower-up to defeat Koopa creatures, but the toads used it to actually cook! In the latre 1800's The Mushroom Kingdom had very low use of fire and gas. There was one exception to the rules. A yellow flower that caused any one who touched it to get a sort of flame that shoots out of their mouth, fingers, or eyes. It was caused by a type of oil that was disolved into the skin aned caused many problems. Such as extensive iching and burning. So they used it very carefully by putting it in their stoves. This flower ast the time was very rare and was only found in groups of 30 in fields and forest areas. When ever one found one they very quickly put it into their bag so it wouldn't be stolen. today you can just buy it at the market for a very low price. It was a type of poison Ivy actually that was used for good not evil. The flowers can actually become a pest that grows in Toads gardens and they must use a spray for it. also they have to get rid of the blocks that all the time popping up in the yards. Question Mark Blocks are a very strange phenominon that has intrigued science for years. They are very common in the Mushroom Kingdom. You can see them walking down the street or in your yard. The scientific aspect of it is that they are very common plants that are propeled from the ground during a lunar period. especially a full moon. They will grow from a very special root and at night only will they slowly obsorb items that are in their way and then defy gravity by propelling themselves with a special force. They are formed by the collection of bricks in the earth. So if you have alot of lawn chairs in the yard you beter move them during the full moon or they will be found suspended in mid air the next morning. So get your hammer. They have a new poison out that will kill them and control your garden very easily. Along with these are (Monty Moles, Parhana Plants, and Star Men)
