Motivation: Now, this is a guy who’s shooting for the stars. Why does he want to outdo Luigi? Because he’s there, apparently. He seems to be jealous of Luigi, much like his brother Wario is of Mario. Now, what it is that Luigi possesses that this guy should so desperately desire to attain is anybody’s guess. His fame? His fortune? His girl? Perhaps it’s just his brilliance in the role of sidekick that Waluigi envies. Oh well. Maybe we’ll know more as Waluigi’s career blooms (if it blooms).
Modus Operandi: Due to his lack of adventure experience, it would appear that action is not Waluigi’s cup of tea. Aside from his formidable style of full-body tennis, his abilities seem limited to average running and jumping. Don’t think he’s totally harmless, however. Waluigi’s modes of operation are simply more covert, but in the end, just as fiendish and ruthless as the next guy’s. Waluigi gained control of Luigi’s island by silently saturating it with Piranha plant seeds and then simply moving in when it‘s hapless proprietor was forced to scurry off. As for the mutant Eggplant men, we have no proof he had a hand in those, except that Waluigi bears a striking resemblance to the vengeful chef who used a ‘secret ingredient’ to bring to life an army of food in ‘Panic Restaurant...’ In any case, Waluigi has shown he doesn’t have to rely on primitive violence to get his way. It may simply be the sneakiest, most diabolically cunning character of them all.
Description: Like his rival Luigi, Waluigi is taller and thinner than his brother. Lanky, emaciated, and spider-like, Waluigi wears a gloomy ensemble of storm-gray overalls and a midnight blue shirt and cap over his hunched, toothpick frame and protrusive rib cage. The insignia, which he bears on his cap, is an inverted yellow ‘L.’ His face is long and gaunt, with a lantern jaw seemingly frozen in a teeth-baring grimace. His long, thin, purple, downward-hooked carrot-like nose hangs over a thin, oily, oversized handlebar mustache. In addition to his family’s large, pointy ears, his gray rimmed-eyes peek out from underneath the lowered bill of his purple cap, and sometimes appear to give off an eerie purple animal-like glow. His exaggerated movements are made even more awkward and clumsy-looking by his gangly arms and legs. Perhaps there’s a reason why this guy comes out so rarely...
Personality:Though he seems to display the ill-spirit of his brother, Waluigi appears to be less outspoken and more introverted than his sibling. Little is known about the workings of his mind, though there is definitely something whirling around in there, and it’s not lollipops and rainbows. In any case, Waluigi is most likely cunning, calculating, sneaky, and spiteful, and not the least bit shy about it.
